Beautifully, lovingly and patiently restored 18th century stone house. The property is situated in a picturesque village of Velo Grablje, approximately 10 min drive from Hvar town centre and 5 minutes drive away from the first beach.

The village of Grablje has preserved its authentic feel for over 100 years do to large emigrations in the early 20th century. This was our ancestors’ family house that was left wanting for for a long time as they settled in the neighbouring town of Hvar. It is nice to see that in recent years people have started moving back to the village and bringing life back to it. Velo Grablje was famous for its largest lavender oil production on the island, prior to big fires. The memory of this scented past is kept alive by the very popular Festival of Lavender put on every summer by local youth. In the village, just a short stroll from the house, there is a local restaurant  where you can enjoy home made foods and specialities.

"Villa was exceptional, a real 5 star luxury stay. Beautifully fitted and furnished. Extremely clean and also well stocked, so we did not need to buy our own dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid etc., which is often annoying. Beds extremely comfortable, with each room having an en suite bathroom. 1 bedroom is in self contained separate building on premises, ideal for couple/family wanting a bit of privacy. Pool has a wave machine. Spacious utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, clothes airers etc. Kitchen is a bit small, but well stocked with crockery, cutlery and condiments. Hosts extremely helpful, met us at villa and showed us around. Excellent restaurant a few minutes walk away in the village. Would also recommend Alviz restaurant, owned by hosts in Hvar town, delicious food. Village is ~15 min drive from Hvar town, which allowed us to get away from the noise and truly relax. Short drive to a number of the beaches in the area. You will definitely need a car, as no shop in the village."
